What is the Hindu Resource Center (HRC)?

The HRC is a platform from which we deliver value to our community.  Under this platform, we serve smaller groups within the community including, Youth, Parents, and Seniors.  Our mission is to:

  • Provide support to young parents, youth,  and familes.
  • Provide guidance and education about Hinduism and issues affecting the community and how to deal with them.
  • Provide a platform where community can connect, learn, and share.
  • Provide training on practical life skills like Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Financial IQ, and more.
 

Parents Support Group (PSG)

What is Hindu Legacy Parents Support Group (PSG)?

We are a support group operated solely by a team of volunteers.  Our intention is to create a safe space for young parents to share their issues and get education, guidance, and support. The main objectives of HL-PSG are: 

● Provide support to young parents who are facing issues in the community.
● Provide guidance and education about Hinduism and how to deal with sensitive issues in the community.
● Provide awareness about Hindu issues in the community (and beyond).

 

Youth Leadership Program (YLP)

As part of the HRC initiative, we are offer a comprehensive Youth Leadership Program which covers the following areas of development:

Focus areas of Training:

  1. Leadership – Learn about Leadership and put that learning into action with your own project.
  2. Communication – Public Speaking, Interviewing Skills, Debate Skills
  3. Emotional Intelligence / Self Mastery – Dive deeper into yourself and focus on the “inner net”
  4. Team management – Learn to work as a team mate and team leader.
  5. Interpersonal Skills / Relationships – Learn and practice the most important skill of all!
  6. Stress Management / Meditation – Learn to manage your mind and stay above all the “noise”
  7. Goal Setting / Time Management – Learn to set and achieve goals
  8. Financial Literacy – Understand the basics of money and investing
  9. Physical Mastery – Yoga, Sports
  10. Hindu Education Series – An added bonus to help you understand your own roots!
