Hindu Heritage Month 2023

Hindu Heritage Month (HHM) is a global movement highlighting Hinduism as a tradition and contributions Hinduism has made to human society. November has been officially recognized as Hindu Heritage Month by the Canadian Government, The City of London, and Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB).

HHM is an opportunity for the global Hindu Diaspora of over one Billion to share the richness and diversity of Hindu cultural traditions and Hindu philosophy of non-violence, celebration, and inclusiveness.

Hindu Legacy, along with its partner organizations, is undertaking many activities during Hindu Heritage Month of which some are hightlighted below. The goal of HHM is to spread love, joy, and unity throughout the community.

Canadian Minister's on Hindu Heritage Month

As we embark on the second annual Hindu Heritage Month in Canada, let us embrace this occasion as an opportunity to deepen our understanding and appreciation of Hindu culture and philosophy. The invaluable contributions of Hindu communities have enriched the fabric of our society for over a century. In celebrating diversity, let us also actively choose inclusion, recognizing that it is the collective strength of our differences that makes Canada truly exceptional. I encourage everyone to engage in events and activities throughout this month, fostering unity, promoting dialogue, and building bridges across communities. Together, let’s stand against discrimination and hatred, choosing justice and unity as we celebrate the vibrant tapestry of Hindu heritage in our diverse and inclusive nation.
